▶ Your Answer :
Are study abroad experiences all beneficial? This topic
raises the controversial issue of whether spending at least one semester abroad
is beneficial to all college and university students. I believe that, although
not all, most will benefit from studying abroad for at least one semester.
There is a huge benefit of breeding cultural acceptance and worldwide
connection in studying abroad.
Indisputably, not all students will benefit from studying
abroad. Some students are in their best circumstance to scrutinize their
subject of study already. For instance, an enthusiastic student with Japanese
language major in Japan has no better place to learn her subject than the one
that she already is in.
Nevertheless, most students will benefit from studying
abroad. Although it may take away ones time for a standard learning process, it
will nonetheless give one broader look toward the world, and promote him or her
in long term. While it is essential for a student to expose him or herself to
the comprehensive cultural, political, and social context of the global society
to keep a pace with fast-changing market dynamics, different regions of the
world today offers distinguished perspectives to its residents and visitors.
Thus, students can benefit in great if they spend at least one semester
studying in a foreign country as it will provide them with opportunities to
explore completely different social context from that of their origin.
Furthermore, students can benefit from studying in a foreign
country by creating broader connections. Among many values, connection is
especially essential for students. It is often through connections that
students find job opportunities. Knowing professors, friends, and others in the
different regions of the world will give one broader options and choices in
finding job opportunities.
Thus, I generally agree with the opinion that all college and university
students would benefit from spending at least one semester abroad. The
ever-changing society that we live in today is demanding broader outlook on the
world, and studying abroad can offer a great way to grow those eyes. |
