In modern days, vast majority of people are
experiencing hardships in maintaining a healthy balance between their work and
personal lives. While social pressure and the advanced technology have been
responsible for this problem, there are several solutions which can be
practiced by both individuals and executives of a company.
The society’s demand to thrive and the
recent technological development are the reasons for disrupting the
life-and-work balance. First, in many societies, the prevailing notion of
success has been restricted to having a financial prosperity and achieving a
higher social status. This has pressured employees to work longer and harder to earn more money and yield better quality outcome, which takes away their personal times . Another reason is the emergence of
personal devices which erased the barrier of working time and space. Smart
phones and laptops made it possible sending documents and contracts possible anywhere at
any time via emails and messages. Therefore, workers had to be constantly reminded
by them, resulting in endless work.
However, there are several feasible steps
which can help to regain the lost equilibrium of between labor and private times.
First, individuals could consciously reflect on their goals and make adjustments. For
example, if ones’ work or objective is so demanding that it requires sacrifice of their personal lives, they should try to negotiate with the company
to secure some time for themselves. Furthermore, companies can also take part
in this process by offering a variety of classes and social clubs employees can
participate in after work. In this way, people would not need to extra effort to
find these activities and thus, they would engage in managing their leisure
time easily. '개인 시간'이 부족한 것이 논점인데, 개인시간이 무조건 social club이나 classes 등의 여가활동이라고 볼 수는 없기 때문에 회사에서 할 수 있는 다양한 활동을 제공하는 것을 해결책으로 제시하는 것은 맥락이 좀 어색하게 느껴질 수 있을 것 같아요.
In conclusion, social problems of destroyed
