As the globalization has been more and more
important issue, there might be some debates regarding the issue of whether the
international tourism has a positive influences or not. This essay suggest that
developing local area is the primary advantage and the gentrification is the
principal disadvantage. (47 words)
On the one hand, the international tourism
develops the tourist city and around the area. Tourism is the one way to earn
money directly. The city earns more money as famous as it is. Therefore, the
government develops social infrastructure and people launches business
including accommodation, retails, restaurant to match tourist’s demand. Jeon-ju,
a famous tourist city in korea, rapidly developed and boosted it’s economy. Even
it creates it’s own touristic culture. (72 words)
Meanwhile, the gentrification is emerging
as a problem. Most of the small enterprises move out from their places because
they can not afford of highly increased lease fee. Big companies enter on the
industry instead of them. It influences to lose the city’s specialty, which is
attracted to the tourists. After all, the number of tourist might have decreased
and the city’s economy might be shrinking. There were some places that the
gentrification occurred in Korea such as Hong dae. Many unique stores and restaurants
leave the area and franchises filled the places. It straightly brings reducing tourist’s
number and profits and striking the local economy. (106 words)
In conclusion, the international tourism
can be advantageous if the government obviates the possibility of danger on the
