It is true that nowadays every school evaluates their students with the grades in all subject in order to support them more efficiently. However, there are some adverse effects, as a consequence.
To begin with, dividing students into different levels based on their performance makes teachers better to understand their pupils' shortage. To be more precise, with the students splitting into each grade, it can be much more accessible for teachers to give them support to enhance levels. Also, students can better recognise where they are at the level of their level in the class, with the result that most of the students have more desire for advancing the standard of knowledge. However, because of the evaluation in school, many teenagers can be affected negatively.
First of all, it can foster lots of competition among students, which makes them get more pressure to develop their grades. For instance, in Korea, every year some of the students decide suicide after college scholastic ability test because even if their level was suitable to enter college or university, they thought that their grade was too lower and lousier than other competitive peers. so many students decide to commit suicide because they think their grade was not good enough compared to other students. Moreover, it can negatively affect students' health. In order to get a much higher grade, a lot of students will study until late instead of sleeping. night by reducing their sleeping time. Thus, many of them have been suffering from illness such as gastritis or enteritis and highest stress.
In conclusion, even though many schools use the system of grading students to evaluate them, there are lots of drawbacks: contribution to the increasing amount of negative effects of competition among pupils and degeneration of students' health.
