In many countries, some people argue that investing money collected from taxes on building express trains and new railway lines between major cities is necessary. On the other hand, others suppose that renovation of existing public transports should be prioritized.
On the one hand, various means of public transport such as buses, trains and subways play a significant role in people’s lives, especially for cosmopolitans residing in big cities. However, the scheme of improving local transport system would be complex and is not welcomed by residents. For example, the construction of renewed transportation in the city would cause many issues including excessive noise pollution, air pollution, and heavy traffic jams due to the blockage of part of road. Therefore, some would say that the idea of upgrading prevailing transport vehicles is unrealistic.
On the other hand, I completely agree with the plan of connecting different cities with advanced trains. The primary reason is that such a scheme would certainly make it easy and convenient for people to commute long distance every day. it is going to and it will save time as well. Take express trains in Korea as an example. The innovative trains in Korea there enable city commuters to travel to remote places twice as fast than the time it takes to travel via existing railways. commuters to move twice as fast than when they had to use old existing railways Secondly, people living in rural areas would also be greatly benefited. In due course of time, train stations will be built along the new railways so that the service become will be more accessible to countryside people as well.
In conclusion, spending government expenses on building new railway lines will be more favorable to the public. (264) |
