The date give information on what graduate and postgraduate students in UK did in 2008 after they finish their degrees. Overall, the popular decisions of the students were to study further, on the other hand, few students were willing to work voluntarily.
First, 29,665 students, that is almost half of graduates, chose that they would study more. Even though postgraduate students’ replies for further study were not higher than graduate students comparitvely, the determinations were major among all students. Whereas, students were not keen to do without income so that the level for voluntary work was terribly low.
The second largest number of students labored as part-time workers in both cases. The figure were at 17,735, and 2,535 for graduates, and postgraduates respectively. Unfortunately, almost similar number of working students remained unemployed in case of graduates, and 1,625 students who finished their master’s degree or doctor’s degree still could not get jobs. |
