bar graph shows the percentage of expenditures for five categories in the
United states, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Japan in 2009.
Overall,
It is clear that the share of expenditures for health care and clothing were
lower than the others in all four countries in the year.
Looking
at the graph more closely, one can see that the rates of spending for housing
in Both countries were the highest at more than 25% and nearly 20%. And, transportation
and food followed as well.
But,
health care expenses were bigger than spending of clothing in the United
states. On the contrary, expenditures for clothing was higher in Canada.
In
the UK, the proportion of spending for housing was also the greatest at almost
25%. But, Unlike the United States and Canada, Transportation expenses were
bigger than spending for food by 5% gap.
Lastly,
In Japan, the share of expenditure for food was higher slightly than for
housing and transportation expenses followed at 10%. And, the rate of spending for
health care and clothing were the same at under 5% |
