It is true
that nowadays admitting the equivalent number of men and women students in
colleges or universities has been issued. Although receiving the same
percentage of male and female may be able to give equal education
opportunities, I disagree with that view because it can prevent the development
of students and colleges.
On the one
hand, there are some people arguing that accepting without gender
discrimination brings about equivalent educational scopes. To specify this, if
the highly favoured major by only one of the male and female must be needed the
same rate of the sexual population, which results in all colleges to promote
about that subject to make up limited student number. Then, it can make for
uninterested people to pay more attention. For example, it has been known that
mechanical engineering ground is socially interested more from males, and
therefore only much more males have applied and worked for that field compared
with the least number of the females. However, if a college must admit the
equal number of man and woman students, they are going to publicise to get more
women students. As a result, with the university's effort, the interest rate of
man and woman has become similar, which makes it possible people to have the
same study chances regardless of the gender.
On the other
hand, accepting an equal number of man and woman in every major can prevent the
development of colleges and students. If the government push them to get the
same number of both sexes, colleges may accept up to unsuitable students to
make up the count. For instance, although a highly talented male student
applies to suitable college, the college should necessarily refuse him. That
college instead takes another woman student in spite of untalented student.
Thus, it makes possible for colleges to limit their decision, which results
discouraging colleges' advancement. Speaking to a matter of students, it is
that steal their study opportunities regardless of their ability. Therefore,
all colleges choose their students without giving admission in the equivalent
number of both gender and accept according to the suitability for major.
In
conclusion, I agree with the latter view
that same acceptance in the number of man and woman may prevent the development
of both universities and students and they should have free decision without
limit.
