It is true
that with the invention of the computer, many web sources are provided by the
public. Some people claim that this information is useful for children's
education. However, others argue that most of them can accept incorrect data
and be disturbed by the entertainment things on the web.
On the one
hand, there are some people arguing that web-based contents help children's
study far better. This is because students can be more interest in subjects
through the exciting materials such as educational games and video, which leads
to a successful conclusion about education because it increases the attention
of girls and boys. For example, in a National Geographic Magazine's article, a
teacher explains that schooling through web devices such as tablet PC or laptop
give students much more enjoyable education environment whereas textbook can
often be boring to them.
On
the other hand, other people claim that children can be taken
wrong information through the Internet. To be more precise, there are many
incorrect and unprofessional knowledge, which makes students have wrong answer
and conclusion. For instance, in Korea, by increasing fake news on the
Internet, these errors are
revealed by broadcasting. Many people, especially
teenagers, are exposed to this information, which brings about risks of people's way of thinking.
Additionally, web contents can disturb student concentration. This is because
there are a lot of entertainment things which makes children attract, which
makes them spend more time on playing a game or watching videos such as movies
and dramas. Relatively, study time of boys and girls
reduce remarkably.
In
conclusion, both views have their strong points. It seems that the latter view
is more convincing because web contents sometimes provide wrong information and
put children on the entertainment situation which obstruct them to study.
