The pie charts illustrate the
proportion of water used for various purposes in six different areas.
As clearly seen from the charts,
most areas, 4 areas of 6 areas, mainly used water for agricultural purpose at
least more than 70%. Central Asia use the greatest proporiotns of water used
for farming, 88% of total water use. Conversely, water for agriculture was not
major prupose in North America and Europe, with the figure 39% in Norht America
and 15% in Europe.
On the other hand, North America
and Europe use water for industrial purpose, around half of water and used in
industry. Remain area (South America, Africa, Central Asia, and South East
Asia) use their water less than 20% for manufacturing. Domestics use of water
was not a main use in any other area. The percentage of domestic use is less
than 20% the range from 7% to 19%.
Overall, main purpose of water
use is agriculture in 4 areas, while other 2 areas, North America and Europe,
use most their water for industrial sector. |
