With highly developed industrial factories, many kinds of pollutions
have been generated. This essay will present how this society tackles this
problem as some people say that there should be higher taxes on it, while others
disagree, saying there are some other solutions for it.
It is obvious that imposing more taxes on producing
pollutions would be beneficial because industrials are highly responsible for
all disasters they have made. Having numerous people suffering from diseases
caused by pollutions, a certain amount of money is required to supply free
medical services in public. Recovering and conserving the destroyed nature takes
efforts, times and budgets. The oil-covered water near Southern Korea Sea in
2014, for example, over 200 workers were involved to make the water clean
again, which costed about 300000 dollars
in total and it was paid by the government not the industrial. Thus, it is a
good idea for human-made nature disasters recovering to be paid by imposing
higher penalties from industrials.
On the other hand, since our society is having a lot of
merits with industrial, not only companies are asked, we, as a society, should
be asked to be responsible for pollutions. Companies could be encouraged by governments to be working more eco-friendly,
getting subsidies and rewards regularly. Collecting donations for covering the
budgets for restoring the polluted environment would be of a great help.
Individuals could be playing a vital role by purchasing products from
environment-friendly factories. By doing these, in my opinion, our community
will show the better and faster results compared to putting more taxes on only
companies.
In conclusion, it seems that both views are holding their own reasonable opinion. However, it is
more convincing to me: rather than blaming only the industrials, we should work
together as a part of it with every way
possible. |
