When it comes to similar life style issues among countries caused by
global distribution systems, it is evident that people’s opinions are divided. Consuming
same products has few advantages in aspect of money and time saving for
companies and consumers. However, downsides of similar life style in overall
countries outweigh upsides. Still, people and society pursue to produce and
purchase various local products for maintaining their culture to be
characteristic.
In terms of individuals, people should ruminate
that cheap and mass consumption is really benefit for each individual’s life. The
truth is not so. If people just except same goods provided by global
manufacturers without any critical debates, then people will be treated only a consuming
market of mega industries without any respect as a prominent consumer. What is
worse, throughout using same things, people could lose each one’s various
characters making their lives to be flourishing.
Furthermore, society could lose its
typical cultural features from using twin products. It is because innovation
and creation can make society’s culture to be more flourishing, and this
creativity is come from people’s liberal life style. Unfortunately, under the
same life style, society could only have inflexible people of thinking. Cultural
identity via diverse life types of people is one nation’s traditional asset and
heritage to be continued so that society has a responsibility to keep and to foster
both of an economic market and cultural variety.
Not only should not people buy same
products, but society should also try to keep the usage of local goods against
mass production and distribution, considering harmful factors of using same
products.
