I reckon that charging tax higher on the food which may make people unhealthy than other food is quite acceptable.
Many people, nowadays, are struggling with health problems like obesity or blood high pressure. Even though we cannot conclude that this kind of food has a problem itself, it is obvious that the cheaper the fast food is, the more people eat.
I saw a person who weighed higher than general people, which took a hamburger every night. He was going on a diet, but whenever he passed by a shop which sells fast food he couldn't bear the allures. As a response of my question which is about the reason why he eats what is high in calories, he said that the burger has a reasonable price, which made him take without any worries.
If he had to pay more, added extra charge as a tax by government, he might have considered once more even though it is because of the price. In the same way, it would also have people not to buy fast food.
But, when government imposes a tax on them, I think that it should be thought what extent it must be charged and how can help people who has a problems on their health in reality. In terms of these aspects, I think that they should consider the result after they start to have people buy more expensive. It is because of lots of restaurants and customers who are not related to the matters on health would disagree about the rule, which can destroy the law. Thus it should be considered to give intensive to whom changed the fast food into healthy food or to whom kept his(or her) fitness or healthy.
In conclusion, I agree taxing more on the food which is in high calories. But the aftereffect must be thought before they implement.
