It is a common belief that subjects such as art and music should not be forced to students in school’s education curriculum. However, I firmly believe that art and music classes should be compulsory. This is because these kinds of the subject can improve students’ creativity as well as they would have a chance to relieve their stress. To begin with, learning art and music can foster children’s creativity. They are able to enhance their imagination by creating an artistic production, unlike academic subjects that they just have to memorize difficult formula and answers. which only includes memorizing fixed answer. Furthermore, raising creativity would allow students to feel the joy of learning as they could have the positive thought that all subjects are not difficult, which leads to children becoming more interesting to be more interested in other subjects as well. For example, a recent EQ test had shown that majority of children who are learning art and music indicated relatively high figures at part of emotional and creative. On top of that, the obligation of art and music classes creates opportunities for students to relieve stress that comes from studying other academic subjects. In general, the art and music activities induce creating works which students want. As art and music are artwork, these Art does not have need to find correct answers. It could allow students to alleviate pressure from other difficult classes like math and science.
In fact, there is a school that has already enforced art and music classes. According to the survey from this school stated that over 70 percent of students were less than average stress levels. To sum up, compulsory arts and music lessons provide opportunities to improve creativity and reduce students stress. For these reasons, it is important to teach art and music to students in school obligatorily. |
