In
these days, sport plays a significant role in people’s daily life in many of
places where they play and work out. Whether team sports are better than
individual sports is a contentious issue. However, I firmly believe that team
sports have more positive effects on people’s daily life.
On
the one hand, one can think that people could feel more comfortable when they
enjoy sports alone. Since a society gets too competitive and complex, people should
spend a lot of time with others whom they don’t want to be. Therefore,
enjoying sports alone is likely to give some space and time to relieve stress and recharge ones' batteries without any interruption.
Meanwhile, I think that there are many
benefits to participate in group sports. It helps people cultivate good
qualities needed for success. Group sports require abiding by rules, caring
others, and keeping on time. When these traits are well developed, it is likely
to bring a better result in their workplace. Many experts, including the Tokyo
research center analyzed data from two groups of adults. The first one was made
up of those who took part in volleyball twice a week, and the other consisted
of those who ran alone on a regular workout every night. The expert found that
the former group outperformed the latter group by 30 percent. To be specific,
the first group showed better communication skills, a higher level of
understanding, and a better ability to delay their own gratification. This
implies that group exercising is the key to success both professionally and
socially.
To
sum up, team sports cannot overestimate considering improvement of social skill
and better outcome in a work place. |
