Some people think that university should
spend money to the food at university cafeterias. Other think that the money in
university should be spent on social activities. This topic is intriguing question
because opinions concerning this topic can be different relying individual
perspectives. In my opinion, however, university should invest in social
activities for the following reasons.
To begin with, it is better for students to
attend social activities because it helps a person to socialize with diverse
people. Improving relationship with many individuals is very important,
positive and long lasting implications for person’s development. Those who have
close and supportive bond with diverse people will achieve more in their life.
This is because many people choose to hire or work with the person they know. Because
of This tendency, students are likely to improve social activities. However,
meeting diverse people in a cafeterias is limited because people who are in this
area usually eat food. For example, Jintack who was one of my friends during
college year work as a manager at Samsung. He has been sending me e-mail with
new job openings before he post it on official sites. As a result, I can
prepare interview in advance or check new information.
Second, attending social activities enables
students to relieve stress. In social activity, people can share many opinions
in same interest. As a result, people in this atmosphere are likely to relieve
stress. Also, today students are dealing with excessive pressure which come
from many studies to get higher GPA. Therefore, it is necessary to decrease this
pressure. However, because the aim of the cafeteria give students meal students
are not likely to reduce stress. For example, when I was in university I participated
a soccer club where there are a lot of people. In this soccer club, I could
share about many soccer skills, and getting new skills make me feel better.
From this reason, I could fully relieve stress, got back to study as well. |
