As wide use of mobile phone brings both advantages and
disadvantages to our society, some people say we should ban using a mobile
phone in some situations. I partly agree with this argument; while it seems to
have some drawbacks, it may be helpful in communicating and socializing in
public places.
On the one hand, banning mobile phone in some significant
place like smoking seems to overact from some views. Since all people from all
walks of life have their own mobile devices, they cannot leave their mobile
phone because they do their personal business with it including social
networking, texting, and studying. Many people began to use small devices such
as smartphone instead of a laptop, which makes people to always need to bring
those devices with them. Therefore, restriction to limit mobile phone use may
negatively effect on those who need to use mobile devices on right purpose.
Nevertheless, we cannot ignore the effect of mobile overuse.
We are able to see people garb mobile device anywhere to everywhere and some people
involuntarily use it on unnecessary purpose. In restaurants, cafes and working
places, people only focus on their devices instead of having a talk and being
in time with others because they are accustomed to communicating and
interacting with mobile. With this, they are losing their ability to have the
right relationship in person and therefore they should be controlled by laws
not to overuse mobile device in certain places.
In conclusion, it seems that banning use of mobile phone
brings some of the drawbacks to some workers, I believe that it is necessary to
limit mobile use for young people and those who have no ability to control
themselves in using mobile |
