It is true that timber harvesting is growing and it is rising as a
serious issue worldwide. While logging leads to global warming and abnormal
climate, they can be resolved with some measures of the government.
The main issue with indiscriminate logging is that it
has a bad impact on the earth’s environment. It is one of the major causes of
climate change. To be specific, forest woods normally absorb carbon dioxide
from the air and expel air and vapor. Its destruction brings on the effects of
increasing the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and decreasing of the transpiration
rate. Moreover, these phenomenons aggravate the problem of global warming.
Also, global warming generates abnormal climate such as typhoon, flood and
heavy rain.(처음부터 끝까지 너무 나열식입니다)
However, there are solutions to this problem. First,
one of the ways to decline the wood cutting is that asking government to strengthen related laws, and develops the substitutes and suggests using them. According
to a report, it reveals that tightening up on illegal logging and growing the synthetic
resin usage diminished unlawful acts at 22% all over the world. Secondly, the
government must designate an area of woodland as a national park, preserve
them. Let’s take the example of Indonesia government. They recognized wood
chopping as an international issue. So, they showed the brisk movement with an
international program to combat illegal logging. And they also started to protect
their forests as a national park. As the result, Indonesia displayed 75% of reduction
ratio of illegal acts.
To sum up, it is clear that the indiscriminate logging
is an international matter of great concern. Nevertheless, the issue can be
solved by strengthening legal limitations, using substitute resources and
protecting forests by law. |
