Given are graphs including includes data about the quantity of CO2 emissions and the level of traffic use in the UK and Wales throughout the research period from 2000 to 2020. The main feature we can see from the statistics is that all of the figures show steady increase except the CO2 emissions of buses.
Turning to the detail, the number of cars went up gradually from about 2,000,000 to 5,100,000 during the period between 2000 and the present. Also, during the same research terms, the figures of CO2 emissions experienced a slight increase. To be more precise, the amount of CO2 in Car sector reached the highest level of approximately 2,000,000 in 2000, followed by Buses and Trucks (1,700,000 and 600,000 respectively). All of these sectors experienced a considerable rise in 2010 (2,200,000, 1,300,000 and 2,000,000 respectively).
Interestingly, it is projected that the figures of the CO2 emissions and vehicle used in the United Kingdom and Wales will rise significantly. However, the quantity of the CO2 emissions in Bus sector shows the same level of about 700,000 over the whole research period.
