Your Answer ▼It seems that people hold different views on sharing valuable knowledges publicly. While some people say that it would be beneficial when professional researches
are open to everyone, others argue that some important information should be
kept only for those who have an authority on it. This essay will present both
opinions with my own thoughts.
On the one hand, as information is one of the most important
foundations of developing and improving countries, business and individual’s success
in this community, sharing information should be encouraged. Being rich in knowledge, and sharing useful information, we
could experience the rapidest rise in some significant fields such as medicine
and science. To be specific, it would be easier to prevent patients from dying
by having deadly diseases with shared advanced technology skills and medicine
researches. What is more, it could be of great help to starving people in poor
countries with an abundance of knowledge in science to supply and produce food
productively and efficiently.
Nevertheless, others claim that the value for some particular knowledge
is too high to be opened to the public. According to them, unique information and
researches should be considered as one’s property since people generate financial
and economical profits out of it. Further, because publishing researches and
developing technologies require a certain amount of budgets, their time,
efforts, and money, those should be paid by someone who wants them it. Otherwise, we
will experience a downswing in producing upgraded knowledges . I agree with this view, thinking having
particular knowledges could be of great competitiveness to living live in this
knowledge-required society.
In conclusion, it seems that both views have their own perspective.
However, the latter view is more convincing to me: information cannot be used
for free as it has high values in modern society. |
