Your Answer ▼According to some people, the importance of
subjects of art, music and sports are the same as other subjects such as math
and science, especially at early education. I do agree with this belief.
Undeniably, subjects such as art, music and sports
have not been highlighted as the most important subjects in every level of
schools. This is highly related to how societies were and are developing
nowadays. To be specific, in modern society, the fields of science and math
play the most vital roles in national economic growths and developments. NASA
in USA could be an excellent example as NASA exerts a huge impact on not only
USA but all over the world, and science and math are the most important
foundation and component of NASA. Thus, schools are more likely emphasis the importance
of math and science rather than art or music.
Nevertheless, in my opinion is that art, music and
sports are still as important as other majors. This is because since every
individual’s focus and interest or talent is different, for some groups, math
and science would not be essential material for their future. However, they
might be required to get well-trained in some particular classes in order to be
artist, designer or sport star. Especially for primary students, it is
important to have balanced proportions in classes between all subjects because adolescence
is the best time for the young to discover their interests. Furthermore, the
younger they start to get trained, the faster results they get when in fields
of art, music and sports.
In conclusion, even though it seems that teaching
and focusing more academic majors like math and science will bring more social
and national advantages, I believe that it is such a narrow perspective towards
a role of education, thinking learning art and music or sports has the same
importance to some students. |
