As babies have no
ability to overcome disease, many people claim that all parents should take all
responsibility for their children’s immune system. The first step of it is
immunizing their own children. However, some people say that it is not
necessary to force them to immunize their children because it is up to them. I
agree with the opinion that parents should be responsible for immunizing their
own children.
To begin with, the
first thing why some people do not want to immunize children is that
non-immunization children would be healthy in the future. According to them,
ancient lived without any medical care, which made their immune system strong.
In fact, found in the recent research, modern children are much weaker than
children in the past because they automatically enhance their immune system
while running on the ground. Moreover, some people may have some finance issue.
Because not all the medical care is provided by insurance or government
subsidies, some parents are probably not able to afford it. In this case, we
cannot blame those parents but the governments.
Nevertheless, there
are some people saying that immunizing children is one of the responsibilities
parents have to take and I agree with the opinion. With a lot of virus around
us, we are easily infected by harmful bacterias, especially we are able to see
that happens to babies a lot. Throughout the human history, numerous children
in the past died from the infection of bacterias. However, with developed
medical system and medicines, we are not much afraid because of the virus
thanks to this development. Therefore, to protect young children from diseases
all parents should be responsible for immunizing their own children regardless
of their right.
In conclusion, both
views have their strong perspectives this matter. Although formal view has its
understandable reason for it, it seems the latter view is more convincing: parents
should be responsible for their children’s immunization. |
