the line graph shows the consumption of fish and several kinds of meat: beef, lamb and fish in a country in Europe from 1979 to 2004. It shows how many grams a person consumed per week.
Fish strarts off at the lowest level of a bit over 50, and decreased continuously. Out of all 4 items, fish stayed at the lowest level all the time. Lamb started off with at around 150, which is a bit higher that chicken, but kept on fluctuating and decreasing overall. Therefore, it reached a little over the fish's figure in 2004. However, consumption of chickien saw different trend from other 3 items. It started at a little les than 150 and showed huge increase in general, reaching the higest grams of around 250 in 2004. As for beef, it had the highest grams of approximately 220 in 1974. However, it dropped suddenly to 175 for the next few years, and was followed by a sharp increase to 240 until around 1983. Then it kept on going down until it reaches close to 100 in 2004.
Overall, the consumption for 3 foods: fish, lamb and beef, decreased and chichen was the only exception which showed a substantial increase, becoming the food which was most consumed. |
