▶ Your Answer :
The two pie charts illustrate the proportion of world population in 1900 and 2000, divided into six broad regions, including Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America and others.
In general, a great percentage of Europe and Asia population decreased and others had a decreased population by least amount. In addition, there was a sharp rise in world population from 1600 million to 6 billion over the last 100 years.
Basically, the proportion of Asia population in both pie charts indicates that it accounts for approximately 60 percent of world population. This means the population of Asia is the greatest among the countries. Europe is the next country that has a great number of populations. Other countries such as North America, Africa and Latin America stayed in the range of 5 percent and did not have very noticeable differences among them.
As we compare the two pie charts in different years, we can see a few interesting points. Firstly, the Europe population decreased by 11 percent which was a significant drop and Asia population dropped by 6 percent as well. Secondly, the population of North America doubled from 5 percent to 10 percent which was a massive population increase over the last ten decades. Moreover, North America, Africa, Latin America and others had a population rise however the average increase was approximately 1 percent which means the increase was not as significant as North America.
To sum up, We can estimate that a number of people emigrated from Europe and Asia to Africa and others, because while the population of Europe and Asia dropped massively, others had a population increase especially, Africa doubled the population in 2000.
