Over the last two decades, the rate of immigrating population has increased sharply due to the development of traffic and transport system. People today love to move and experience the new environment for the well being life. I do agree with the topic because moving into new places and learning the new way of life to get along with the new environment could be very challenging.
The reason of moving to new cities and new countries vary. For the children’s education, the jobs and the health issues, people keep finding the better place for them. It is very common for people who have just moved into new places face a number of challenges. The challenges are caused from the differences. Different languages, cultures, food, races could be very challenging for immigrants. Firstly, the usual things we do could offend others in other countries. For example, In Korea, It could be rude to lift and hold your rice bowl up while you eat. However, for Chinese and Japanese people it is normal to do. Secondly, the language is one of the hardest things for immigrants. Not only people who move to overseas but people who move to different region in the same country, we could find difficulties due to the dialects and accents. To fight against these challenges we do need some strategies. Firstly, it is very important to become an open minded person. Be optimistic and do not be afraid of trying new. Your life in different place could be disappointing as it is possible to be different from what you have imagined. However, never give up on your new life and be friends with the native people. Various Medias will be very useful for you to get some information. Learn about their culture, food via travel guiding books, the internet and magazines. You will find out what is rude to do or polite to do, such as table manners as well. Thirdly, it would be very useful to visit the place before you move in because as you do it so the place would look more familiar.
