Your Answer ▼ It is a common belief that universities should spend their money for supporting students' social activities. However, there is a more persuasive arguement that colleges are better to fund their capital on improving food quality at cantees.
On the one hand, some people think that universities utilized their funds to support social activities in order to allow students to relieve stress. They think studnets' stress can be lowered by doing active stuff. Also, those activities provide a mental and physical break from studying. For example, when I was in college, I was able to forget about schoolwork, such as reports or mid-term and final exams by participating in university club activities. Especially, weekly excursions took me mind off schoolwork.
Nevertheless, I still believe that schools should improve food at cafeterias by using funds. This benefits students financially because monthly food expenses may be quite burdensome to students. Thus, if universities offer higher quality food, students eat on campus and they may be able to save some money. Furthermore, they can use saved money for improving their talents by enrolling other academies that students have personally interested in. For example, many students are willing to pay $5 more to eat out even if university's cafeterias have poor quality on their food. This shows that food plays an important role.
To sum up, while it is apparent that funding for social activities in universities is somehow crucial, it is undeniable that students are far more interested in improvment of their foods at restaurants in schools because it allows them to save money for doing other things. |
