As, prisons where societies put criminals together have been
greatly helpful to blocking block them from being in community, people believe that it
is the best ways of treating criminals. However, I do not agree with this belief,
thinking there are some other efficient ways.
Undeniably, the role of jail in our society is very important.
By gathering all the offenders at the same building, the rest members of society
would feel much safer than having them around. Even though all offenders pay a fine for what crimes they have committed done, if they still go outside and hang around, no
guarantees that they will not be committing another crime again will be is given. In addition,
since jail has not only a place to keep them away but systems that could help
them out with such as education, society would expect the recidivism rate to drop.
Thus, it is reasonable to say jail is the most appropriate method to control
criminals, sending them away from society.
Nevertheless, I disagree with the opinion that claims prison
is the best form to penalize offenders. As each offender commits different types
of crimes, there should be different forms of appropriate punishment forms appropriate to on each of them. An excellent
example is that those who committed financial offenses and damaged their victims
financially should be responsible for the money they have stolen instead of
paying it by staying a few years in jail, which could allow them to live with
the stolen money after periods. Moreover, it is often seen that drivers who caused
accidents are put into jail to be paid. 이 내용은 주장과 관련해서 어떤 함의를 가지고 있는지 설명해주세요. I would say it is necessary to have
ranges of penalties for all the different offenses.
In conclusion, although benefits of jail seem very
significant and efficient, I personally believe that this society should be
wiser to punish people in different ways rather than rely on only jails. |
