It is a
common belief that having a lot of family members is important because of their
mental support when they have a difficulty. However, there is a more persuasive
argument that due to a difficult financial situation, many people do not prefer
having a large family.
On the
one hand, family members' support has many forces to individuals. Whenever they
face a difficult time, they always get some help from their families. This is
because they can give the opinion to solve a problem which one cannot settle
personally and also provide mentally support too. According to a recent survey,
most people claim that they always recall their family members whenever they
are in a difficult situation. It is beneficial for individuals because they can
reduce their pressure and easily find a solution to problems due to family's support.
Nevertheless,
nowadays most people argue that they want to live alone, and if they got
married, they would have no kid or just one. This is because, by increasing
financial difficulties or self-satisfaction in their single life, most 20s
people have a negative opinion about getting married or having a baby. For
example, in Korea, over half of people aged 20 to 30 claim that they do not
want to marry early and want to enjoy their single life more. They spend their
time to enjoy leisure, travel or exercise instead of getting married and assume
that they indeed satisfy their exciting single life. Also, most married couples
think that they want to have no kid or just one because of their financial
problems. It is tough for newly married people to find and get their own house to maintain their stable life and they must
commit their most time to work to earn money, which makes people discourage and
delay to have more family members like their babies.
To sum
up, while it is apparent that having a lot of families is vital to individuals
whenever they have a difficulty, it is undeniable that most of the young people
prefer single life or small family members because of increasing financial risks and self-satisfaction of their individual life.
