In modern society, it is common to see using web content for teaching children. Regarding this, some assert that using web content as educational material is unhelpful to children. However, there is a more persuasive argument that web content is helpful to educating children. Both views will be discussed below as well as my personal opinion about this issue. On the one hand, web content can be harmful and unhelpful for children's education. This is because a large amount of web content contain violent content and use bad language and this has negative influence on children. For instance, according to a recent survey conducted on children, a substantial number of the respondents stated that they usually learn rude words and negative behaviors from websites. In this regard, since web content can affect children adversely on children, adults should instruct children not to approach to negative content when children use web content for education. Nevertheless, web content should be used for children's education because it is a really effective tool in education. Many educational websites have a lot of videos and images, and these materials allow children to understand easily and quickly. For example, a recently released study conducted on the correlation between academic achievement and materials of education, children who are frequently exposed to frequently to educational web content acquire knowledge more fast and understand easily than children that study just with books. This study offers strong proof that web content is a much effective educational tool. To sum up, while it is apparent that web content can has a negative effect on children, it is undeniable that web content is an effective tool for children's education. |
