The bar
chart presents the six main reasons for travelling based on gender. It is clear that although the records are
similar, there are differences in travelling preferences including Day trip,
Learn other culture, Family and Friends, Scenery, Shopping, and Travelling for
work.
First
of all, compared with the men, the
statistics indicate that the women are more likely to travel to spend their
time with friends or family, to watch magnificent views, and to shop. Among
them, the most significant figure is that shopping reaches 30,000 miles,
followed by Scenery and Family and Friends. (approximately 27,000 and 25,000
respectively) However, when it comes to the other sectors, it registers lower
numbers than male travellers: Day trip, Learn other culture and Travelling on
business, at a mileage of 7,000, 11,000, and 30,000 respectively.
On the
other hand, the most number of men tourists go abroad for business purposes,
accounting for around 35,000 miles. Next, travelling to study foreign culture
and to day-trip is less high than women. (about 10,000 and 15,000 respectively)
However, the male travellers show lower preferences
than women for shopping and being with friends and
family as well as watching
specific areas, recording a
mileage of 27,000, 22,000, and 27,000 respectively. |
