▶ Your Answer : Some people are suggesting 'increased fuel price' as the best way to solve polluion proplem. This opinion is persuasive in some part. However, when we are looking into it more deeply, there is a clear limitation.
Partly, pressures on price can ease environmental problems by reduing unessential transportation demand or energy usage based on the rule price regulation. For example, drviers who have alternative options like bycicle and public transportation, will not use private vehicle that costs a lot. Likewise, energy generating companies that uses fuel as the source of engergy will probably rasie their electricity supply price to the public. Those procedures will clearly force people to minimize their activities that require fuels which cause pollution.
However, price control has unavoidable limit on its effectivenss to the pollution problem. That is the fact that it only damges the innocent people. Decision makers on the engergy area are not the general public, but the politicians and company owners. However, increased fuel price will affect to all the citizens not to the specific point that has actually caused the problem. What is worse, some people are not care about the price at all, while others like taxi drviers and delivery service employees can face the huge challenge of their daliy life.
Thus, we cannot use the word of 'best' to the price raising approaches to solve pollution due to an embedded problem. Instead of rasing prcies to the public, mroe ground breaking solutions should be adopted.
