▶ Your Answer : As a result of development of the Internet, many people in this contemporary society can be offered qualifications from the Internet class rather than teachers in classroom. Regarding this, some assert that this can increase the possibility if decreased sociability and cause some problems related in eyes. However, I strongly believe that aquiring qualifications through the Internet class is necessary for some people who cannot afford to study abroad and have no time to study. On the one hand, it is evident that sociability cased normally by communicating with other students and teachers can be declined, which can lead to individualism society. A research conducted by Seoul National University has revealed that 75% of the Internet class students tended to show more individualism than the students who attended lessons in school. There is no doubt that the environment studying alone can encourage people to be more individualistic. This also can cause the eye-strain and loss of vision in the future due to the increasing time of focusing on the computer monitor. One the other hand, there are a substantial number of people who are offered qualifications they want to be given, while they are not enforced to go abroad to study, or they do not have enough time to take a class due to their jobs. For example, nowadays, increasing number of the Internet classes have helped worldwide students working as a part-time job, or full-time job to save their time, and have given the chances to experience other country's high- quality classes. As a result of taking class through the Internet, many people who cannot spend money for the plane and college also choose one of the classes what they want to take. In conclusion, there have been many negative effects such as loss of vision and people becoming individualistic. However, these negative consequences cannot outweigh the positive aspects of being offered qualifications through distant learning from the Internet . Therefore, we have to keep the programs which help people to save time and money, and make it possible to have opportunities to study at home. |
