It is a common belief that student these days can gain more information much faster with the help of technology. However, I strongly believe that technology have had a negative influence on students. I will further outline my argument below. Admittedly, there are some advantages that students get from this phenomenon. For example, students can access to information on various topics quickly and easily because the search engines give access to an abundant variety of information. Despite the validity of the argument presented above, there are more negative effects from obtaining too much information quickly. To begin with, students can get inaccurate knowledge on the internet. This is because it is difficult to ascertain the information whether it is accurate or not because of (여기에 due to도 가능한가요? due to랑 because of랑 의미나 뉘양스가 같나요?) a large amount of the information. Furthermore, learning efficiency diminishes when learning knowledge from uncertain sources. For instance, when I was a college student, I got the lowest score when I used inaccurate information from a website. As the example illustrates, it is important to obtain the correct information. On top of that, getting a lot of information quickly makes students lazy. Since it is easy to search and copy information with one click, they cannot learn how to organize data by themselves. For example, a research conducted by Seoul National University has shown that students have became lazier because of the development of the internet. This study offers strong proof that the development of internet makes students lazy. For these reasons, the impact of technology on student's obtaining information has been negative rather than positive. |
