The chart shows information
about the underground railway systems of six cities in details.
It is noteworthy
that London has the oldest underground railway systems, opened in 1863,
followed by Paris (1900), Tokyo (1927), and Washington DC (1976), respectively.
However, even though Los Angeles opened the underground railway system in 2001,
which is the latest among the other categories, the route takes only 28 kilometers,
while London runs 394 kilometers.
As
the table clearly shows that, in terms of kilometers of route, there is a
significant gap between the underground railway systems between Kyoto and that
of Los Angeles. It is evident that the route of the underground in Los Angeles
is as twice much as the route of the underground in Kyoto. However, there is no
gap between the number of passengers per year, accounted for 45 million in
Kyoto, and 50 million in Los Angeles, respectively.
Overall,
the chart gives information that London has the oldest underground railway
systems with the longest route, while the other cities show differences among
categories.
