The pie
charts illustrate water usage divided into three sectors in six countries
(North and South America, Europe, Africa, Central and South East Asia
specifically).
To begin with, as you clearly seen, water
consumption for agriculture intension accounts for the most in four countries.
To be more specific, in South America, Africa, Central and South-east Asia, the
percentage of water consumption for agriculture is well over two thirds (71,
84, 88 and 81 percent respectively). Among these four countries, except
South-east Asia, the second biggest usage is domestic use, following
industrial.
On the other hand, the biggest water
consumption purpose in North America and Europe is industrial use by accounting
for at the level of half percent (48 and 53 percent respectively).
The north Americans and Europeans use water
for quite similar reasons. Both countries the second biggest part of the whole
consumption is agriculture by reaching about a third (39 and 32 percent).
Last but not least, only in North and South
America and Europe, the purpose of domestic go over 10 percent (13, 19 and 15
percent respectively). In the other countries such as Africa, Central and
South-east Asia, just under 10 percent is used for domestic purpose.
