It is great worth of discussing on different
opinions on how big the effects of pubic sports facilities. People have
different opinions on how to improve public health. Different opinions on the effect of public sports facilities for improving public health is debatable issue.
Both
vies will be discussed below as well as my personal opinion regarding this
issue.
To
begin with, some citizens assert that building many the public sports centers dedicated
to making better health condition for public(이게 좋다는건가요 나쁘다는건가요? 문장이 끝나지 않네요) more than any other methods. This
is mainly because that most people believe the best way to enhance their physical
health is going to the gym. Therefore, if the gyms are too easy to find and go,
people go to the gym more often.
For
example, there was only one gym in my neighborhood, and it took about an hour
to get there. So my neighbors kept asking city hall council to build more gyms.
Finally they have built several gyms in the area. It became easier for people to go to gym more often.
Since
there are options for my neighbors, they go to the gym more than ever.
On the other hand, the others argue that
other means are needed to make better conditions for public health, by saying
that the sports facilities would be little helpful. According a survey
conducted by the Department of Public Health, 57 percent of respondents
answered that they want to try various activities besides sports to stay health
such as painting, cooking and walking(painting이 건강해지기 위한 운동인가요? 앞에 besides와는 어울리지 않는 답변입니다). To be more specific, people wish for not
only physical but also mental health. To develop the skills that how to deal
with mental stress, which people in modern society actually need, serving
public different programs will be much more helpful.
To sum up, although both perspectives have
acceptable points in the ways how to improve public health. I take the view that people
are needed to try different activities as many as possible apart from sports facilities.
