▶ Your Answer :
Today’s world is changing at a rapid pace influencing education,
economy and more. Accordingly, a degree of parents’ participation on children’s
education has transformed greatly compared to the past. Some believe that
parents today are more interested and involved in children’s education while
others allege that students today get more help from other variety of learning
sources than their parents. Considering both merits and demerits, the latter
assertion seems to be more preferable for two essential arguments.
First and
foremost, these days there are a number of avenues to get education without the
need of parents’ participation. Phenomenal advances in science technology
opened the epoch of a variety of free information. Reliable and abundant source
of information on the internet are bound to influence on children’s education.
In the past there were scarce amount of sources for children’s solid
understanding. Thus, parents cannot help but involve in children’s education by
answering children’s questions. Nonetheless, recently there are a sizable
number of educational materials such as internet lecture, electronic dictionary
and more. Therefore, whenever children have curiosity on certain field, without
having to ask a question to parents, they can easily search on the internet and
fulfill curiosity.
In addition
to, parents today are too busy to involve in children’s education. In the past,
mother usually stayed at home and took care of children while father worked
outside. However, the society has transformed dramatically and now in most
cases, both mother and father are busy working outside. Parents with hectic schedule
and overload do not have plentiful time to involve in children’s education.
Consequently, unlike the past, most of the counseling about grade and future
occupation are done with children rather than with parents. And for parents who
are busy to focus on children’s education, most of the educational notices are
sent to all parents on mobile than heralding face to face. These examples
clearly show that parents are so busy to get enough interest on children’s
education.
In lights of
these explanations, parents today are more involved in their children’s
education than were parents in the past. This is not only because there are a
lot of avenues to get education but also because parents today are too busy to
involve in children’s education.
