▶ Your Answer : Some people take it for granted that increasing the price of gasoline and electricity is the best way for the government to preserve fossil fuels. However, contrary to this idea, it is clear that increasing the price of those cannot help to conserve fossil fuels. The compelling logic behind this is that people must use the gasoline and electricity to keep working and living. Admittedly, raising the price of fossil fuels can give a few people effects. But, they may be frugals who try to save their money and, they just take only 1 percent of people. So it dose not work. On top of that, people must utilize fossil fuels while doing daily chores. Nowaday, still a lot of products are operated by burning fossil fuels. This is because there are no useful alternatives including wind and solar power that need a lot of studies and research. Therefore, when the price of gasoline and electricity goes up, they just endure and keep using them. For example , in 1978, Oil Shock 2 happened because of complicated middle west's situation. The price of gasoline went up to 2000 won per gallon. It literally shocked me. However, I had to use the gasoline because I must need my car to keep doing my works. And other workers were in same shoes. So the amount of usage of gasoline was not changed. And, it is natural that the government can not increase the price of it up to 2000 won. Thus, it's strategy will fail. All things considered, the government's plan to increase the price of gasoline and electricity in order to conserve fossil fuels is very impractical. The reason is that people have to keep their every day regardless of any situations. |
