▶ Your Answer :
These days it is becoming more and more
difficult to get a job. A lot of people that graduate from good college also
concern a lot about finding their career. Thus, recently a debate about
choosing jobs has been brought about. While a sizable number of populace might
assert that it is better for children to choose different careers from their
parents’ jobs, without a shadow of doubt such notion needs to be reconsidered.
There are several reasons that could validate this. First,
it is easier for children to get a job. Recently, things are getting more
competitive and it is very hard to get a job. And companies prefer to hire people
who have a lot of experience and knowledge. Since young, children know a lot about
their parents’ work by having conversation with them. Thus by choosing similar
job with parents, with a lot of knowledge and experience, they are likely to
get a job easily. For example my brother currently works in a famous book
company like my father. He was interested in father’s job since young. Through
observing parents’ face expression, life pattern and having conversation with
him, he knew a lot about Book Company’s work and some problems happening in
book industry. In the job interview, the boss asked him some causes of decrease
in book productivity and how he can solve it. At first he was nervous but by recalling
conversation with father, he could specifically respond to the question and get
hired. Second,
it is easier for children to succeed in a job. These days, it is very hard to
start career all by individual’s ability. Broadening social network and forming
good relationship with others are also key factors to achieve a goal in a
career. When people follow parents’ job, they can get assist from parents and
their friends. This can help people to broaden their social network and stretch
out their work. For example, my friend’s father’s job is a farmer and she
followed her father’s job. Unlike other farmers who have to do all the
sequences that are needed to grow crops by themselves, she got a lot of help
from her father. Her father’s friends help her to fertilize soil and teach her
how to select good seeds. And whenever she is busy harvesting, a lot of her
father’s friends come and help her. As a result, now she owns one of the
biggest farms in her village. From
the above assessments and substantiations, the fact that it is better to choose
jobs that are similar to parents’ jobs seems more convincing. Not only is it
easier for people to get a job but also to succeed in a career. |
