First, he describes the his own experience of working as a consultant assigned with a project. To be specific, the goal of the project on which he was working is to design a customer information program for a client. The manager was indecisive so the professor thought that he could make the program freely. (Freely? Clearly explain it) However, as the demand for specific features increases from the members of the team, the project became unmanageable.
Second, he descries that the cause of the problem (What is that problem?) was that the manager did not communicate successfully with the team members. The manager had given members vague instructions so that the members could not understand their the goal of project clearly. As a result, the scope of the project got out of control. It took longer to complete it than expected and the project cost more than originally planned.
This example demonstrates scope creep.
