T5_Q1 : choir practice & QA session
The woman problem s that she has choir practice and Q&A session at the same time.
The man and the woman discuss two possible solution.
The first solution is to skip practice.
The second solution is to reschedule Q&A session.
I think the second solution is better than the first one.
This is because the practice is the final rehearsal before performance.
And also, I’m sure her teaching assistant would never mind and would change the time for her.
For these reasons, I prefer the second solution to the first one.
T6_Q1 : Using the examples of the pepper plant and the mimosa plant, describe two plant defense mechanisms.
In the lecture, professor describe two plant defense mechanisms by giving some example.
First, the professor talks about constitutive defenses.
For example, peppers plants are spicy favor and this plants remember to negative reaction.
So, a lot of animals would avoid to eat them.
Also, the professor talks about induced defenses.
She says that they are triggered by an external threat, like touch.
For example, mimosa plants, when these are touched, they would contract into tight shape and it would scare to animals
