|
|
1) PBT는 LC(듣기), SW(문법), RC(독해)로 구성되어 있고 TWE(영작)은 선택.
4) CBT, iBT

Our school is one of the first to have one, but I bet that other colleges will open ones up soon. Over two hundred students applied to live there. (man) Really? What makes it so special? (woman) No, we have to agree to participate in the dorm functions. Each floor will host a weekly lecture. (man) Did everyone get through the chapter on Neanderthals that I asked you to read last class? I hope so, because it's going to be important. Before I go into more depth, I want to discuss something that isn't covered very deeply in the reading.
It's interesting that the Neanderthals went through elaborate rituals when burying their dead. I guess in one way it shows how closely related they were to modern humans. However, it is important to distinguish between burying and funeral rites.
Burying a body has important hygienic purposes so it is a very practical action. But, what makes Neanderthals so special is that they had a ceremony with the burial. How can we know this? Well, for one if you look at how the body is buried, you can see that it is laid very carefully and more importantly, there are small tools buried with the person. Many researchers believe that these were included because the Neanderthals believed in an afterlife. However, not all of the things buried with the people had to have a useful purpose. For instance, in one cave, scientists found flowers at the burial site.
Another important characteristic of Neanderthal burial sites is the use of red ochre. This pigment, which is made from clay, was very important to the Neanderthals. In fact, you can often see its use in cave paintings. There's speculation that the ancient peoples believed the red ochre had mystical properties and that may be why it was included in their graves. However, we don't really know why they did it.
39. What is the purpose of the instructor's talk? 40. What is given as a practical reason for burial? 41. What does the instructor say about the use of flowers? 42. Which of the following is not a characteristic of red ochre?

ITP 문제는 TOEFL 및 GRE등 미국 유학과 관련된 모든 시험을 주관하는 ETS(Educational Testing Service: P.O.Box 6155 Princeton, New Jersey 08541-6155 전화: 609-921-9000)가 직접 제작한 문제들로서, 문제의 정확도나 신뢰도, 난이도 면에서 우수하므로 응시자들의 영어 능력을 객관적으로 평가하는데 매우 용이하다.
